Les photos sont d'Ute (thanks!) :
It's a quiet & sunny Moooonday morning, dear wild river combatants, deer hunters, bonfire experts and with-the-crocodile-swimmers!!!
Starting the trip with the 7am-sharp arrival of a group of trailblazers fearing their strict & remorseless German commander, refreshments to gain sufficient strength were promptly swallowed to ensure a timely departure. The ride by two- and four-wheelers appeared a little messy in the beginning with distances of several km between respective vehicles and improvement was surely needed. Debriefing took place under cover of Indian folklore music and special forces training was given by forming two teams in the wilder terrain of the Cauvery mountains.
The group as a whole had then to perform several tests during a 2-day stay in the wilderness such as silently abstracting a kayak to explore enemy's terrain, making a bonfire with the biggest tree in the camp, dancing around the fire like a Cherokee lap dancer, sleeping on the hard floor with wild boars, monster ants & monkeys in closest range, filling a coracle with the highest possible number of troupers and trying to sink it among the crocodiles, killing the Kingfisher stock within 24h, and defending the buffet against wild natives. The commander's conclusion: all these tasks were well mastered by all Bangalorean boy & girl scouts and our most valued lead dog Juni!
Also, the return trip surely brought lots of thrill for the gang. The precious bikes were badly hit by an invasion of a most dangerous & nasty species of monkeys. Muriel&Didier's driver had to staunchly defend himself against local rowdy. Finally, once Antoine's bike has found its perfect cruising speed of 70km/h (80km/h downhill!), Ute's bike lost a crucial nut bolt resulting in the need for a major rescue mission. Well, Private Guido's burned fingers are recovering pretty well, thanks to the lovely nurses!
This most successful mission calls for a drink to go through the visual evidence for final mentoring to ensure another successful Cauvery mission in near future, latest by Jan2012! Date & time for this picture viewing & training session to be confirmed. In the mean-time, some first evidence attached below. Your Cauvery Commander
